Terms and conditions: The terms and conditions below are valid for purchases of products and services from Mernøe ApS.

Prices: All prices at Mernøe ApS are in EURO excl. VAT. For EU customers Danish VAT (25%) will be added to the price. When ordering goods for delivery outside the EU, the buyer does not pay Danish VAT, but VAT, import duties and/or charges in accordance with national rules may be imposed when the goods arrive in the country of delivery. Unfortunately, we cannot say what amount will be imposed on the order. The buyer is responsible for paying all relevant import costs to the selected country.
Payment: 50% upfront payment to start production (nonrefundable) and 50% before shipment (nonrefundable for custom made goods).
Retention of title: Mernøe ApS takes retention of title in all goods sold until the full amount for the goods has been paid and received.
Delivery time: Mernøe ApS delivery time for collection pieces is 10-12 weeks. For custom orders delivery time will be determined case by case.
In case of a delay caused by an unforeseen event out of Mernøe ApS control, Mernøe ApS will inform you with the cause of delay and a new expected delivery time and cannot be held responsible.
Please note that orders are executed by us and our subcontractors, in accordance with NL 92, with reservations for strikes, lockouts, wars and other force majeure events.
Delivery: Goods will be delivered as soon as possible with a suitable courier service. Alternatively, goods can be picked up by appointment. You will be contacted when you order is ready for delivery by Mernøe ApS to make delivery arrangements. OBS: We always agree on the delivery details prior to our deliveries, and never place goods at the front door etc. unless otherwise agreed. NOTE: For pick-up of goods, a valid picture ID must be presented for security reasons (e.g. driving license) as well as the order confirmation for the goods.
Shipping is paid by customer and arranged case by case. NOTE!!: Shipping is delivery to curbside and does not include carrying, unpacking, returning of packaging and installation of lamps unless otherwise agreed/ordered. If you wish to have the goods carried into your home and installed, this needs to be ordered and paid for separately. NOTE!!: MERNØE ApS does no longer take responsibility for goods when they have been handed over to the shipping company. And We encourage you to photo document and claim any damages to the package to the courier upon arrival of the package.
Special conditions: Please note that our products are made from natural materials that require stable climate conditions and regular care to maintain durability and the desired appearance.
Wood and shiny metal surfaces require ongoing maintenance, and will always patinate through use, aging, variation in air humidity, exposure to light, fluctuations in temperature etc. We always recommend following our treatment and maintenance instructions for the product purchased. Our treatment and maintenance instructions can be found at www.mernoe.com. Please note that goods made in natural materials cannot be 100% identical from product to product. Therefore, when placing an order, you accept the tolerance limits that Mernøe Aps and our subcontractors work with in connection with production.
Returns: It is not possible to cancel your purchase of custom-made goods.
If you want to cancel your purchase after you have received the goods, you must send us a notice without delay and no later than 14 days after you have received the goods, stating that you wish to undo your purchase. You must bear the direct costs of returning the goods. You are responsible for ensuring that the goods is properly packed. Where possible, use the original packaging. You will bear the cost of replacing a damaged or missing original packaging. The cost will be charged or set off against the refund. You will maximum receive a refund of 50% of the purchase price. (The 50% upfront payment will not be refunded).
You are responsible for the goods from the time of its delivery. Due to their nature goods cannot be returned by normal mail. The return shipment, including the choice of freight method and company, must be agreed with us.
Condition of the goods upon return: You are liable for any deterioration in the value of the goods, which is due to handling other than what is necessary to determine the nature, characteristics and functioning of the product. In other words – you can try the goods in the same way as you would in a physical store. If the goods have been used beyond what is described above, we consider it as used. This means that when undoing your purchase, you will only get part or none of the 50% final payment back, depending on the commercial value of the goods. To receive the entire 50% final payment back, you can therefore do the same as you would in a physical store. You can test the goods but not take it into actual use. We do not refund the cost of services such as installation of goods or delivery costs incurred. We withhold the refund, until the goods have been returned. The refund will be made immediately after we have established that the goods has not been damaged. If you regret the purchase, the goods should be sent to: Mernøe ApS, Fridtjof Nansens Plads 2 st. tv, 2100 Copenhagen Ø, Denmark. Note!: The 50% upfront payment paid at time of ordering will not be refunded. Note!: Customized goods will not be refunded.
You can also undo the purchase by giving clear notice and handing it in in person at the above address against prior agreement. When you return goods, you must enclose a copy of the order confirmation. Note!: We do not accept packages sent COD
Right of complaint: The Purchase Act’s defect rules apply to purchases of goods. When you shop at Mernøe ApS, you have a 24 month warranty. This means that the goods can be repaired, exchanged, or you can have your money back or a reduction in price, depending on the specific situation. It is, of course, a requirement that the complaint is justified and that the defect is not caused by incorrect use of the product or other damaging behavior. You must complain within “reasonable time” after you have discovered a defect in the product. If you complain within two months after the defect is discovered, the complaint will always be timely. If the complaint is accepted, we reimburse reasonable shipping costs. Please contact us prior to any shipping, as we may be able to help with the return of the goods. The personal information is registered with Mernøe ApS and stored for five years, after which the information is deleted. When personal information is collected via our website, we ensure that it is always done with your consent so that you are informed of exactly what information is being collected and why. We do not store or transmit customer information encrypted. Therefore, when placing an order, you accept the tolerance limits that Mernøe Aps and our subcontractors work with in connection with production.
Returns: It is not possible to cancel your purchase of custom-made goods.
If you want to cancel your purchase after you have received the goods, you must send us a notice without delay and no later than 14 days after you have received the goods, stating that you wish to undo your purchase. You must bear the direct costs of returning the goods. You are responsible for ensuring that the goods is properly packed. Where possible, use the original packaging. You will bear the cost of replacing a damaged or missing original packaging. The cost will be charged or set off against the refund. You will maximum receive a refund of 50% of the purchase price. (The 50% upfront payment will not be refunded).
You are responsible for the goods from the time of its delivery. Due to their nature goods cannot be returned by normal mail. The return shipment, including the choice of freight method and company, must be agreed with us.
Condition of the goods upon return: You are liable for any deterioration in the value of the goods, which is due to handling other than what is necessary to determine the nature, characteristics and functioning of the product. In other words – you can try the goods in the same way as you would in a physical store. If the goods have been used beyond what is described above, we consider it as used. This means that when undoing your purchase, you will only get part or none of the 50% final payment back, depending on the commercial value of the goods. To receive the entire 50% final payment back, you can therefore do the same as you would in a physical store. You can test the goods but not take it into actual use. We do not refund the cost of services such as installation of goods or delivery costs incurred. We withhold the refund, until the goods have been returned. The refund will be made immediately after we have established that the goods has not been damaged. Note!: The 50% upfront payment paid at time of ordering will not be refunded. Note!: Customized goods will not be refunded.
You can also undo the purchase by giving clear notice and handing it in in person at the above address against prior agreement. When you return goods, you must enclose a copy of the order confirmation. Note!: We do not accept packages sent COD
Right of complaint: The Purchase Act’s defect rules apply to purchases of goods. When you shop at Mernøe ApS, you have a 24 month warranty. This means that the goods can be repaired, exchanged, or you can have your money back or a reduction in price, depending on the specific situation. It is, of course, a requirement that the complaint is justified and that the defect is not caused by incorrect use of the product or other damaging behavior. You must complain within “reasonable time” after you have discovered a defect in the product. If you complain within two months after the defect is discovered, the complaint will always be timely. If the complaint is accepted, we reimburse reasonable shipping costs. Please contact us prior to any shipping, as we may be able to help with the return of the goods. When you return the goods, please state as detailed as possible what the problem is. It is not a requirement but facilitates our case management and minimizes the processing time for the complaint. Please note that we do not accept packages sent COD or similar. Remember that the goods must always be sent back in sound packaging and to get a receipt for shipment so we can refund your shipping costs.
Personal data policy: We register your personal information to be able to deliver the goods. The personal information is registered with Mernøe ApS and stored for five years, after which the information is deleted. When personal information is collected via our website, we ensure that it is always done with your consent so that you are informed of exactly what information is being collected and why. Director, Morten Mernøe and the staff at Mernøe ApS have access to the information registered about you. The data responsible for www.mernoe.com is Morten Mernøe. We do not store or transmit customer information encrypted. Information submitted to www.mernoe.com is not passed on or sold to third parties, and we do not register any sensitive personal information. As registered with Mernøe ApS, you always have the right to object to the registration. Under the Personal Data Act, you have the right know what information is registered about you.
